What is the Inclusive CanSkate program?

Our Inclusive CanSkate program is a skating program focused on creating opportunities for Skaters with unique physical and/or developmental needs to experience fun on the ice, enable participation in sports and provide basic skill development in a safe and caring environment.

Why Sign up for CanSkate?

This program is for beginner skaters with little to no experience, as well as for those wishing to improve their basic skills whether their focus be for figure skating, hockey, speed skating or just for fun!

Who teaches it?

Skate Canada NCCP-trained professional coaches.

What can you expect?

Our goal is to include every child who wants to learn to skate so that they can be a part of the action, movement and fun on the ice! With lower skater to coach ratios, we are able to provide more of an individualized approach.

What do you need to participate?

All you need are lace-up skates, a CSA-approved hockey helmet, long pants, mittens, warm sweater or jacket. Dress in layers – it will get warm!

“If you don’t have fun, it’s hard to do your best.”
