“A short 10-minute walk is a good way to relieve anxiety and depression in children. There is evidence that starting exercise at a young age will decrease rates of anxiety and depression in children and adolescence. Physical activity may improve their mood by helping the brain cope better with stress.”

With the above 0 weather this week, we are sure many of you have been heading outdoors for some exercise and fresh air! Kids have been having toboggan days at school (if there is still snow left on the hills!).  Ski hills in the area are still booking time slots. Many people are getting out for walks and heading to the parks.  Walking dogs and off leash areas are a hopping! Regardless of how you are keeping fit and active, we hope that everyone is staying Covid conscious and being safe.

For those that are looking for indoor options to keep fit, here is a link from Skate Canada Alberta Website of 9 best kids indoor exercise.

Please keep checking back to FB and Twitter for current up to date information as we get it; as restrictions/rules/guidelines are changing constantly. We know there is much discussion regarding March 1st and the potential decisions going.
